With this album I present my most personal project, totally distant (although not too far away) from the early music that I play in others. It is a compilation of a wide series of personal transcriptions that I have been writing over the years of some songs or instrumental pieces that, for one reason or another, I have played in very different situations. I deliberately adopt in them an approach, as I say, free and rigorously personal, without tying myself to the classical rules of harmony, even though I take them into account in general terms. I have enjoyed arranging and performing this music so much that I find stimulating to share it on BandCamp, with the addition of a PDF file containing all the tablatures, as many people have asked me to do during all this time. My greatest hope is that lutenists and vihuela players from all over the world will dare, for a moment, to put aside the Renaissance and Baroque music, which we love so much, to discover how the unique sonority of our favourite instrument is also capable of absorbing the language of the popular music of the last decades.
